How it works

First time here?
  • Download the Virtual Pilsen Card app (links and QR codes for download are available below).
    • If you just need to look up a route or buy a ticket, you can use the app without registering.
    • If you want to purchase a subscription, register and fill in your personal information.
    • You don’t need to have a physical card first.
Have you used our app before?
  • You can easily transfer your account to the new app. Just click the “I’m coming from the old app” button.
Are you a holder of a physical Pilsen Card and want to switch to the Virtual Pilsen Card?
  • See the instructions below on how to easily transfer your subscription from your physical card to the new app.
More useful information
  • If you purchase a subscription, you can verify your identity either through the app on your mobile phone or with a bank card.
    • If you want to add your mobile phone as an identifier, simply log in to the VPK mobile app, and your mobile phone will be automatically assigned as an identifier to your account. After purchasing a ticket or subscription, you will identify yourself during a check using the QR code in the app under the “Purchased” tab. This QR code is accepted by all carriers in the Pilsen Region Integrated Transport system.
    • If you need to add a bank card as a new identifier, log in to the Pilsenská karta e-shop, select "Add Card," and then "Payment Card." You will be redirected to the payment gateway, where you will enter your bank card details. A verification transaction of 1 CZK will be charged to your account, which will be refunded to your account within a few moments. After this process, your bank card will serve as a valid identifier, and you can use it to purchase passes and present it during fare inspections.
  • In the app, you can also search for connections and purchase a ticket for the entire Pilsen Region, buy tickets to the zoo, or look up public transit schedules in Pilsen.
  • An active subscription can only be on one medium. You can freely transfer it between the plastic card and the app. Please note that each transfer between identifiers takes up to 1 hour.
  • If you need to claim a fare discount or free transportation, you can apply for it directly in the Virtual Pilsen Card app or on the Pilsen Card e-shop. Complete information on the conditions for granting discounts is available in the Fare Schedule issued by the carrier. Your application will typically be approved the following business day.
  • If you only want to prove your eligibility for a discounted fare, simply show the QR code from the “Card” tab during an inspection.

How to get the app

The app is available for free on Android and iOS:
