Virtual Pilsen Card as an alternative

Virtuální Pilsenská karta jako alternativa

If you plan to use the card exclusively for transportation purposes, we recommend downloading the Virtual Pilsen Card app, which is free to set up. Register in the app, fill in your personal details, and if you do not want to claim a fare discount, you can purchase a subscription and start traveling right away. In the app, you can also purchase individual tickets for travel throughout the Pilsen Region, purchase selected tickets, or search for timetables. If you need to apply for a fare discount or free transport, you can do so directly in the Virtual Pilsen Card app, at the Pilsen Card e-shop, or by visiting the customer center with the relevant documents.

For more information, see the Virtual Pilsen Card tab.

Card replacement request – expiring validity

You can apply for a card in the Pilsen Card e-shop (you can submit your application electronically, but you must pick up your new card in person; it is not possible to have the card sent by mail), at customer centers (Denisovo nábřeží 12, Klatovská třída 12), or at selected PMDP sales points.

When should I request a replacement Pilsen Card?

If your Pilsen Card is nearing its expiry date (the expiry date is printed directly on the card), you must visit one of the above-mentioned points of sale at least one month before the expiry date and apply for a replacement Pilsen Card. The 30-day deadline for replacing your Pilsen Card is set to ensure the smooth transfer of any valid travel coupons or transport points from the original card to the newly issued card (after the Pilsen Card expires, it is automatically blocked and can no longer be used as a valid travel document).

I am requesting a duplicate Pilsen Card. How will the coupons/transport points be transferred to the new card?
I have a valid coupon activated on my old card.

When you apply for a duplicate card, a replacement travel document will be issued at customer centers (unfortunately, it is not possible to issue a replacement document when applying via the Pilsen Card e-shop). The duplicate card, which will be sent by mail, will already have the same time-limited subscription activated as the original Pilsen Card.

I have transport points recorded on my old card

If the original functional card is handed in when submitting the application, the duplicate card that arrives by post will have the same activated transport points as the original Pilsen Card. If the original functional card is not submitted when submitting the application (loss, theft), the customer will receive confirmation of the application to determine the balance on the electronic wallet on the original card with the earliest possible date of transferring the balance to the new card, which will take place at the PMDP customer center

After receiving the card, create an account on the Pilsenská karta e-shop

If you do not yet have an authorized Pilsen Card, register at the Pilsen Card e-shop and select the option "add card" and then "transport card." Enter the number of your plastic Pilsenská karta and then call the info line at 371 655 600, where an operator will verify and authorize your Pilsenská karta. You can then check the validity of your subscription, manage your personal data, apply for a fare discount, set up notifications for expiring subscriptions, and other features.
